Hi again! I'd recommend you send them all back so there's no room for argument. I'd also recommend you photocopy them first (so you've got copies) and you send them by recorded delivery. Then there's no doubt at all.

Hey JoJo. It might be, it might not be. Some retailers offer straight forward half price line rental for a limited period, some will be on redemption. If its on redemption though it needs to state it really clearly, not hide it in some small print, otherwise its not valid.

Hey Saqalain. If you've just bought the contract you should receive some detailed documentation showing you what they require. There will be a schedule showing when the claims are due, and you'll probably have to post in the paper bills that you receive, so make sure you keep them. However every supplier requires different things, so if you haven't been given very specific instructions make sure you ask for them.

Hi there just read the article which was detailed but just had trouble knowing how to do the claim bit as in do you print it off from somewhere or make it up and what do you include if that is what you do. (Just bought a full cashback contract but don`t want to be part of the minority who don`t send in the bills) thnx.

Hi mo! Thanks for your feedback! I'm glad you've had a positive experience with your redemption cashback deals! I guess you must be one of the ones organised enough to actually send back your bills on time!

accept its not complicated at all, in the slightest.

ive been using redemption contracts now for the past 3 years, 2 years with onestopphoneshop.co.uk and the 3rd year with carphone warehouse themselves.

the process wasn't complicated at all, as long as you sent your claim via recorded delivery so you had proof, and sent it at the appropriate time (which is easy enough....because they tell you) absolutely nothing can go wrong. You can even ring up the customer service team to make sure they've received your claim and that its been processed, and with carphone warehouse they actually send you a text within 2 weeks of you sending the claim.

it takes minimum effort to 'organise' - i simply put a reminder on outlook express to let me know during the year when to send the claim. Thats it. Done. No other organization required. You can just print the bill online and send it.
Its no more complicated then that.

Also i've never encountered any sort of hostility or difficulty when phoning a customer service agent, either at carphone warehouse OR onestopphoneshop.co.uk when asking them to explain to me the terms of the redemption.

3 years and no problems. I think your article makes it sound more complicated then it actually is.
